COMPANY HISTORY

Alimentaria Ferraris S.R.L., based in the prosperous city of Chañar Ladeado in the south of Santa Fe, Argentina, is one of the most important sources of employment in the area. The factory started its activities in 1945 as a family business, making handcraft biscuits. In a short time, under the leadership of its creator, Don Jose Ferraris, a professional baker,
the small family enterprise expanded into a successful company.

The basic idea was to manufacture first quality products and sell them in the south of the provinces of Santa Fe and Cordoba. In order to meet increasing demand, in 1955 the factory moved to larger premises and started its first mass production line.

In a short time, our business expanded to neighbouring provinces, so in 1959 we set our second production line consisting in rotative and wire cut equipment, considerably raising productivity to supply new markets.

As time went by, we modified and improved our manufacturing processes, we created new products, varied packagings and added technology, and we began to export our products.

Our quality control of both raw material and manufactured products guarantees the excellence of our production line, specially the quality of our crackers, which are traditionallly fermented and bear the texture of a handcraft product, and our sweet EFE, pioneer of MARIA type biscuits in our country.

Today, the Company can produce a surplus to be exported. We have many products suitable to satisfy the most demanding export requirements in quality as well as in packaging. All in all, it has been our policy
of quality and efficiency as well as our reputable management that have made our company and products stand out and develop successfully.
